As NEC Chairman, I had the honour of representing NADJ in providing valuable insights into the DJ software and hardware market.

Our contribution underscored our commitment to promoting a competitive and vibrant industry landscape that benefits both DJs and consumers alike. Attendance at 'All Systems Go 3' Event: On April 11th, the legends at AlphaTheta, Studiomaster, and Prolight Concepts rolled into town! We got to see first-hand, the ground breaking technology of the brand-new AlphaTheta Wave Eight and Omnis-Duo, alongside a showcase of Studiomaster's finest speakers, including the Core 121 and Direct 121MX.

Prolight Concepts were also there to show off amazing lighting fixtures including the Helix Scanner and Barrel range, Spectrapix, PixelPoint battens plus much more. This was more than just an event; it was an experience! We mingled with fellow DJs and in performers, and fuelled our creativity with delicious pizza and refreshing drinks (beer, soft drinks, and hot drinks were available as always from the Team at TechForMusic). There was an epic prize draw at the end of the night for a chance to win PixelPoint battens and an Omnis-Duo!

Unfortunately, I have to report that I didn’t win, but it was great to see one of the PixelPoint battens won by a very young DJ who was over-the-moon with his prize! On a related note, Sami from AlphaTheta took the time to show me around the new Euphoria rotary mixer. It was fascinating how innovations technology continue to shape our industry. Similarly, Mike at Phase One held an evening that seemed to focus purely on rotary mixers!

It is critical that we support our local DJ retailers rather than international 'box shifters' for the very same reason we need our existing customers and wish to attract new. Approach by PLASA for BPM Show Educational Seminars: We were approached by the new owners of the BPM show, PLASA, to take a leading role once again in the educational seminars. Unfortunately, the original dates announced for October looked set to clash with the already announced PhotoBooth Expo and DJ show London. This certainly caused some head scratching! Though of course now we have a brand-new date in November, which is great for the DJ calendar as it means we are more readily able to support both shows from which our industry can only benefit.
